As a child, Sunday was my favorite day. Sadly, it wasn't totally for the right reasons. Yes, I went to church and enjoyed Sunday school, but my younger self also enjoyed the free meal I got to eat every time.
Looking back now, I'm not ashamed. I was a young child. No matter where my intentions were, I still learned the word of God and got to spend that quality time with my grandparents.
Over the last 20 years, also my time away from God, my life has not been as good. Nothing seemed to go right, it seemed liked I was wandering the halls, without a hall pass. Able to be there, but not doing what I'm suppose to, at the same time.
Over the last few years, I've gotten back to him. As soon as I started that relationship back up, a weight seemed to be lifted from me and my family.
In life, you must learn. Learn to love yourself, learn to love your neighbors, and above all, learn to love God. The best way to do that, is to start young.
I wish I had had a bible like this at the age I started. It simplifies but doesn't atke away from any of the stories, and it also shows well drawn pictures.
Just one story a night will fill anyone with the information they need to know all about the bible.
"The Big Event", is my favorite story in this book. It tells of Jesus rising from the death. I've never seen it put this simply or so beautifully.
My cousin is currently pregnant and I think this will be the perfect baby shower present for her. No matter what religion (or possibly no religion) someone is, the word of God should always be welcome.
This bible is perfect for teaching someone about the word of God. You have to find this book!!!
