About a year and a half ago I started my weight loss journey. Food is a major hurdle for me. All through high school I suffered from anorexia. Once I got got done having kids, I had a bit of a tummy. The worst came when I got Fibro and a bunch of meds. My weight skyrocketed and I turned to food.
Food, something I once shied away from, I was now shoving down my throat to feel better. It got so bad, I stopped looking in the mirror and my already low self esteem, got worse. One day I decided enough was enough and started helping myself.
I wish I had had this book back then, but it is still helping me now. It helps you figure out why you emotionally eat, triggers.
Once you figure that out, you can move on to help with stopping your emotional eating. For example, rewarding yourself with things other than food and recognizing you're doing it and helping you talk yourself out of it.
This book is awesome. Many informative books are common sense and this one actually taught me a few things. It is short, but well written and very easy to read. I highly recommend it if you're an emotional eater.
