Get your phone off the floor!

At the end of October, we will be celebrating a year in our home. There were a lot of ups and downs, along the way. Decorating is still an occurring thing. People assume that I had everything done months ago...whoops.

Honestly though, I have been on my weight loss journey and as always dealing with the Fibro. But, even with all of that, it is getting done slowly. One by one things are coming into our home. Sometimes, they are things, I really need.

That, is where this product comes into play. It is a wall mounted phone holder Mount, made by Baile. I know it seems like a mouthful, so let me explain....after I give you a bit of a background info. Our outlets in the bedroom are in the worst places. No stands are even close to them, so my phone would sit on the floor while charging.

Worrying about everything else was enough, I didn't want to worry about someone stepping on my phone and breaking it. This product popped up and I had to have it. When it came it was a bit underwhelming.

I mean, it is just a simple little thing. You don't need any tools to put it up either. Simply pull the cover off the sticky back and then push to the wall. Be careful to put it in a place you are happpy with. I haven't tried to replace mine, but I doubt it would move very well. Once you have it up, Plug in your phone and slip it into the slot.

The phone stays nice and still and most importantly, off of the ground. It doesn't look bad on the wall, I would have preferred it to be all white, but I know companies need to get their name out there any way they can.

I can honestly say, this product is built well, and it works well. I haven't tried it with bigger or smaller phones, but it does well with mine and it expands as well. Does this sound like something for you? Check it out here:

Mini Styrofoam Balls and my FLOAM fail.

• Growing up, my parents ran their own business and we had whatever we wanted. I never really had to worry about money, until I got older. I worked from age 13 until my mid twenties. I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2008 and that is when life really started going downhill.

I haven't been able to work, and my husband has a basically dead end job. We can barely pay the bills and doing anything fun is out of the question. I really had to start relying on DIY stuff to have the things I wanted around the house but couldn't afford. That moved on to DIY'ing presents for the kids when we were low on money. Which brings us to these tiny balls.

As soon as I saw people posting about Floam and Slime, I had to do it. I finally got my chance with these styrofoam balls. At least I thought I did. More on that later!

I'm sure there are many other crafts that you can use these with, but Floam is my number one at this point. You get a bag of all white, and you get a bag of multi colored balls as well. They are packaged well, which is a good thing, because you can see the static just watching them fly around in the bag.

They are pretty much what you would expect. They will get everywhere, so be prepared to sweep them up for awhile if you lose any.

I have to say, I am really happy that they included the all white and the colored. Most companies would probably stick to one or the other and this saves you having to make more than one purchase. Plus, I love it when companies go way over what they need to, to impress their customers!

Now, I haven't even gotten to use these balls yet though. I have attempted to make Floam twice and failed both times. I never knew it was this hard to recreate my childhood. I mean UGH!

 

Since I am poor, it makes since that I would have items from the Dollar Tree. That may have been where I went wrong. The first time, I used Elmer's and Oxygen laundry detergent and it was a fail. It was fun to play with in the bag though!

Earlier today, in a last ditch effort, I went to the Dollar Tree and got spray starch because they had no liquid. It was a fail as well, BUT, it did start to goop it up, but it was still far from working. I sat it asiide, in hopes it might come around. IK realize, I may have used too much starch or not enough.

I will get it right next time. Borax will be my number one choice. Once that happens and I am successful, you will get a blog post. Around Christmas, I will do another one for Stocking stuffers.

Ultimate Kitchen French Press

Sometimes in my line of work, we get a bad taste in our mouths for certain products. Glass products are my favorite to do and my least favorite at the same time. I have had some bad luck with other products, especially with french presses.

Many companies don't pack them right and they come cracked or totally broken. After that you have to go through the annoyance of ordering another one. Which is why, you don't see many on my page.

When I saw this one on Tomoson though, I had to check it out. Most are plain glass and pretty boring. The details drew me in and I decided to take a chance on it. It came wrapped in a bag, bubble wrap, and inside a box, which was inside another box. It came in perfect condition.

It was just as pretty as the pictures made it look. The etched glass is a nice touch. It is not boring at all and you can feel comfortable leaving it out as part of your kitchen decor, when you aren't using it.

I was surprised by how thick the glass is. I believe that is another reason why it was able to ship safely. Everything is very classy and like I said would add to your kitchen decor. It all seems made well and very sturdy. The handle could look a bit better, it kind of takes it down a class, but it is sturdy and not uncomfortable, so I can't complain too much.

We like coffee here, we just don't do it much, which is why I like the idea of a french press. No cords, nothing to plug in and set to work, and no wasting electricity. Coffee, Water, and a bit of elbow grease make this work and it is awesome. I'm burning calories, before I take them in.

All in all, I am very happy with this french press. We have used it a few times and the coffee tastes great. I really like the look and quality of it as well, plus anyone can do it!

Caramella Bubbless House Slippers

Winter is coming. In Indiana, that means freezing temps, snow, and cold feet, among other things. When I was a kid, I always had to have a hat and socks on. Our parents forgot that body heat leaves out of more than just those places. I don't know about you, but my feet are always the coldest!

You can put on layers of socks, but why not just buy a cute pair of slippers? Over the years, I have went back and forth from childish to boring. Those Spongebob ones about five years ago, were my absolute favorite!

Right now I have a boring pair, so I was very happy to get these. They had a few different designs and these just stood out to me. They remind me of a little lamb, which reminds me of bed, and strangely I have been getting a lot more sleep.

Sadly though, these are going to have to go to one of my daughhters. I am a size 10 so I got the Large 11-12. My toes are all the way at the end. I would definitely go for the biggest size if your feet are close to my size or bigger.

Quality wise though, these things are awesome. They are put together well, with a nice bottom. The groves on the bottom definitely keep me from skidding on the tile floor. Plus they are COMFORTABLE! I just wish they were an inch longer so I could keep them.

Caramella Bubbles !4 inch Emoji Plush

What's better then 2 12 inch Emoji Plushes? Yep, an even bigger Emoji Plush. The size isn't the only thing I noticed that was a bit different with this one either. Keep reading to find out. Emoji love!

Now, I know, two inches isn't a big jump, but you can definitely see the size difference when you compare the two. The actual campaign I applied for, looked to be a round pillow, I didn't see that when I ordered, so a new plush it was.

Another thing I noticed, was the difference in the body. Somehow, this one seems to be a bit more filled. Still hard to get it to stand up when propped, but easier than the others. I might just be imagining it, but they feel different.

Also, the stitiching seems to somehow be better as well. The other ones, had a few strings hanging, and this one was pretty much perfect. I know mistakes happen with machines, so of course, they aren't faulted for any strings.

All in all, we love this little guy. The tounge was pretty stuck so make sure you peel it up so you don't break it off, or you can just leave it stuck, it looks good either way. Plus, since there is more stuffing, you could possibly use it as a pillow, if they happen to fall asleep with no pillow around.
