How to make Shit Cakes AKA Poo Emoji

We recently had my husband's family reunion. His family and I don't really get along, so I wanted to do something fun, but really showed how much I don't care about their hate as well.

One day while I was scrolling through Facebook, I found a picture of a Poo Emoji dessert. Always up for a challenge, I decided to give it a shot. Mind you I have never decorated anything before. It took a few tries, but I finally got it the way it looked the best.

To begin, I got a few things around:

Pan they will end up in and chill in.
2 tubs of chocolate frosting
1 tube of Vanilla or any white
2 tubs small chocolate donuts
1 package of edible eyes
2 Frosting bags and tips

Once you have all of that ready, take the frosting and fill the two frosting bags and put them in the fridge for at least an hour. When you take them out to start, make sure you let them sit for a few minutes and knead the bag.

You can finish them all at once, but I cut it up into groups. First I put the chocolate in the middle of the donut. This step took many attempts, just to see how much to put and where to start and finish. You are in control of how much poo you want to include. I ended up doing 36 of these, in shifts. with the arthritis, I could only do about 10 at a time. I covered them and let them chill for awhile so the pooo wouldn't get too messed up during the next step.

Once you put them away, get the white frosting out about 10 minutes before you need to use it. When they are ready knead the frosting and then draw on a mouth. It doesn't have to be perfect or even look right, as long as you can tell it is a mouth and of course they don't all have to be the same size.

At this point, you can either put them back away to chill for awhile, or you can take advantage of the softened poo and put the eyes in now. After awhile you start to figure out exactly where they look the best. Honestly, I am sure many of mine were cross eyed.

Once you are done with all of that, put them all in the pan you are going to keep them in and try and keep them chilled in the fridge until they get where they are going.  Mine stayed out in the heat for a little while, at least 2 hours and they survived well.

Everyone at the party loved them, when we left only a few remained. I made the rest when we got home to share with friends, but my husband and his friends got ahold of them instead.

These are yummy and a lot of fun to make and to hear people talk about. Emojis are the thing right now, just on the train while it is still hot.

Got any ideas for emoji related desserts I can make next? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks for reading everyone.
