My husband works in a loud factory, he has for almost 11 years now. His hearing has slowly decreased over the years. One day with this product and he was hearing everything I said...even what I mumbled under my breath.
Another guinea pig I used, is a friend from high school, who likes to go to rock concerts. His hearing is bad and almost oversensitive. He needed to turn the hearing aid down quite a bit, but was happy with how his results turned out. He just didn't like how much it stuck out, where everyone could see it.
My last test subject was my grandpa. He has a regular hearing aid, so I had him take them out and only use this one for a day. he heard everything we said to him. Even said that it was almost better than his more expensive hearing aids.
Every subject tested, and even myself, loves his hearing aid. It is made well and it is a pretty decent size. No you can't hide it, but sometimes you have to choose hearing over vanity.
It is pretty much ready right out of the box. All you have to do is put in the included batteries and pick out with ear piece you need to use. Start out with the volume all the way down, so it isn't too loud for you. Once you get it working, it is easy to hear how how the level needs to go.
You may be thinking, this is a big investment. Yes it does cost a pretty penny, but it is much cheaper than hearing aids you would get from your doctor and it works just as well as them!
