For some reason, I thought this would be a good book for my teenager. From the first page though, you are bombarded with large words, that she knew nothing about. I found her looking up many of the words and then she got frustrated and put the book down.
I even had a bit of a problem reading them, understanding what I was reading, and wanting to continue and I am a grown woman. Once I got into it though, I started to appreciate the wording style and it became a fun little game as I was reading.
The story is fun and obviously well written, if not overwritten in parts. I could see this being a movie or tv show kind of like Goosebumps. I personally would love to go to a park like this through Disney or another park.
The thought of being at an amusement park with werewolves, vampires etc seems scary and I could feel every emotion as I read. All in all, I think it is a great book and I will read it again! They even sent me a nice package with another book and a few other things!
Head on over to the Monsterland product page on Amazon. From there, you can learn more about the book, find out what other people think about it, and you can pick up a copy for yourself!
I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
