Cogling by Jordan Elizabeth

I have to say, that I love reading about mythical creatures, especially when they are among humans. It is cool to see everything happen, with humans realizing that they are among things they shouldn't be. There is a certain magic among them, that is wonderful.

Cogling is one of those books. Humans walk among royalty, dragons, hags, trolls etc. Edna Mather is a 15 year old girl. Her and her brother live with their mother, there are mentions of her father but he is never present in the book.

Edna and her brother Harrison work at the castle. They aren't treated very well, but they need the money to survive and it could be a lot worse. In there kingdom, once you get to a certain age, everyone has to work, if they can.

Hags come in and steal Harrison, leaving something else, almost zombie like, in his place. Edna has to save him and herself along the way. They get into many different issues and meet many who are willing to help.

I don't do spoilers, so I won't get into too much detail. I will say that the book is very well written. The characters are developed and you really started to feel for them and their different circumstances. Miss Elizabeth, did a great job with this book!
