This mat has been perfect for me so far. The size is perfect for my tub. I read other reviews, where people complained that it was too big or too small for their tub/shower, so I guess I got lucky that I have the size of shower/tub that I have. When I put it in, it takes up about half the tub. Literally everywhere I step in there, has a piece of mat covering it.
There are suction cups built into the bottom of the mat. They hold onto the tub surface and keep the mat right where it is and where it needs to be all the time. Even when I move around on it, in the shower, it doesn't move an inch.
I think the way it is made, is great. It isn't one flat mat that needs to be pulled up and cleaned constantly, it has all sorts of holes and open space in the design. The open space allows the water to glide right through. Which means it will be harder (in my opinion) for mold to grow on the bottom of the mat.
When you order this, you will see a picture of a pretty blue one. I was really excited...and then I got a yellow one instead. It is still a nice color but I can't help but wonder why they use that picture if the product is yellow. I guess at the end of the day, the color makes no difference on how well a product works.
All in all, I really enjoy this mat. It does take a bit to get use to under your feet though, at least it did for me. It doesn't hurt, it is just an awkward feeling at first. By the second shower it actually starting feeling good on my feet. It does have a strong chemical smell at first, but after a few rounds of showers and shampoo, soap, and body wash falling on it, the smell was gone.
