When I first started blogging, I had no idea what to do. After this many years of doing it, I still don't really have any idea what to do. I stick with what i am good at and only use the features that I know how to use and use well. There is so much more that I could be doing though. I learned that from Brandon Colker's book How To Make Big Bucks From Blogs.
The title drew me in all by itself. As a blog owner, I felt there were many things inside that could help me and I wasn't disappointed. Unlike my other books I review on here, this one was in audio form and much easier for me to follow. It took me a little over an hour to listen to the whole book. That would have taken me a week or more to read.
There are many chapters in this book and they all teach you something new. It is the first time I actually really learned what I need to do. Dana's book, that I reviewed awhile back was helpful but mostly about things I already knew about or knew I was lacking in. This book actually had me writing down tips to remember later.
My personal favorite from this book, is about the layout of the blog. I now know that I need to make my blog look and feel more professional. A cool hip blog may be fun for awhile, but a professional looking blog, will keep them coming back time after time. Punctuation, grammar, and my writing style is another spot that may need some work. I can take the time to do the funny intro, but I must make it make sense for people to follow.
If you are looking to step up your blog game and go onto the next step of making money from it, this book will really help you...if you follow and take it all to heart. It is not here to downgrade you or your blog, it is here to help you in your journey.
