I really can not believe how bright this light is. I went into a totally dark room and sat this in the middle shining up and it was as if the light was on or it was the middle of the day. Like I said, I couldn't believe it, but it was pretty awesome. I could even take pictures with my phone and they came out just fine. I have to have a lot of light for my pictures to come out..if that tells you anything.
It also has a low and a strobe. The low is about the brightness of normal headlights and even most flashlights. I think either setting could keep you safe while you are riding your bike outside at night. It comes down to personal preference and maybe even how long you are going to be riding your bike.
In this set, you get the headlight, which attaches to the battery pack. Both get mounted to your bike and are shock proof and water proof. The battery pack is pretty big but not too big where it gets in the way at all. When the battery runs out simply unplug it from the headlight, and plug it into the plug and then into the wall. It lights up when it is charging, and it even lights up unplugged if you plug the battery pack into it, so you sorta have an idea of how much of a charge you have left.
It also comes with a helmet mount for your bike and the bands to mount the light. The best part is they put the website address in the box so you know where to find videos to learn how to mount your headlight. Make sure you keep the bike moving so the wind cools down the light. After a little bit of holding it for my video, I noticed that is was getting really hot and had to turn it off and sit it down.
