Therma Labs Instant Pop Up Tent

We love nature, so the beach, camping, hiking etc are things we really enjoy. We have the standard tent, that both sides zip and you are safe from bugs and such, but we have never owned a beach tent before. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a beach tent. Once I found out I was intrigued. There are lots of uses for one, so I couldn't wait to get this and use it..next summer can't come soon enough!

When this comes, it comes already folded up inside a nice circle bag with handles. They have the instructions on the side, plus an instruction booklet included. I found the instructions on the side of the bag, were so much easier for me to use and figure out, because the pictures were more specific.

This beach tent is super easy to set up. It is like one of those pop up tents your kids own. You just take it out of the bag unfold a little bit and it will pop open the rest of the way. There is nothing to put together..no poles like other tents. Although it does come with stakes for the ground and a rope to keep it from folding up on you.

The sides of this tent, have pockets at the bottom, so you can put sand or something heavy inside to keep it on the ground, so it doesn't blow away or mess up the bottom. The bottom seems to be a standard tarp material that is good for putting on the ground and won't rip or tear with feet. The rest is a standard tent material. There is no door on the front meaning you can see out the front and the back zips up so you can see behind you as well.

I think that this would be awesome outside, to get shade when you need it and to keep things inside that may need to be kept out of the sun. We have used it to sit in at a bonfire so far and it really kept the wind off of us. If you have a small baby that isn't crawling yet, this may be the perfect way to keep them in the shade while they are napping, with you in eye shot of course.

I had a bit of a problem getting it folded up at first. The instructions are a bit weird on that, but once I got the hang of it, I found it really easy to fold up and put back into the bag. It literally takes seconds to unfold it and seconds to fold it back up once you know how to do. All in all, I love this beach tent. We can use it for a lot of things and I know I can trust it!
