I see other reviewers saying that it will fool anyone and looks just like a real book and I partly agree with that. The outside or book cover, does loo and feel very much like a real book and if you had an enclosed book shelf where all you could see was the spine, then yes it looks very much like the real thing and will fool some people.
Once you get it in your hand though, you will notice that the sections that are suppose to look like paper are really plastic and look nothing like the real thing. Which is why I said, if you can only see the spine then yes it does look like a real book. It is definitely to be hidden away or it will be a dead giveaway.
It comes already opened with pretty detailed instructions for an Ohuhu product. They inform you on how to set your 3 digit code, so you can lock the book safe. Simply set it to 000, go to the back of the lock and move the switch from A to B. Closing it up, put in the code you chose, and move the switch back. It should now be set to your code.
Inside you will find a pretty big container. You can actually store a lot of things inside of here. If you need it just for a safe and aren't worried about people knowing what it is, then this is perfect for you. It does work pretty well, even though I don't feel that it could pass as a real book once people saw what the "pages" look like.
Good materials though and made pretty well. They could always expand to other types of books as well. I feel this is a good choice though, I mean it isn't every day someone comes to your house and needs a dictionary!
