My son dislikes a lot of things and reading is one of them. He can read very well, he just prefers not to. I needed to find a good way to see just how well he could read, without him knowing my plan. He usually sees right through every plan, bu he didn't this time and I still don't think he knew what was going on.
This game is just what it sounds like. There are different cards, for a variety of readers whether they are just starting out reading, or they are already good at it. If you use with one child, you could just move up a tier while their level goes up, or you can include the next tier in with the first.
This game does have some set up involved in my opinion. Since it is a treasure hunt game, the clues that they must read from the cards, have to lead to something. I use little treats or toys through out the area for them to find. It keeps them wanting to play, which in turn keeps them reading.
Basically your child picks a card and then read and do what the card says. It may say, look in the toy box. As I said there are different levels and even blank cards, that you can write your own clues or special surprises, like eat ice cream. They keep reading the cards and find the stuff until the game is over and hopefully they get the best surprise, whatever that may be.
The cards are clear and concise and will def. help the kids read better! My kids have so much fun playing this game and I do as well! If this sounds like a game your kids need or would enjoy, then head to their website http://www.ukloo.com. It is actually cheaper to order from there, then it is to order from Amazon!
I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion/review/feedback.
