I have always loved music. When I was younger, the recorder was huge. We had to learn to play it for school. Which we then went on and did a concert for. I went on to play the clarinet for a year or two. In the end, an instrument just wasn't to be for me. But I could probably still rock a recorder if given the chance.
My husband is in love with video games and consoles, especially the old school ones, like Atari, NES, and Sega. He collects games and consoles and things that go along with those old school games. Zelda is something that everyone in our age range knows and most love.
Combining two of our loves, Old school video game characters, and musical instruments was great. I love the musical aspect of it and he loves that it is linked (had to) to Zelda. Plus it looks amazing. It was very well made. Being hand made you pretty much expect it to have at least a few flaws, but I haven't been able to find any. The paint and all the details on this instrument are great!
When I first looked at the product site on Amazon, it says that this is easy to learn to play. I am struggling with playing it. I thought my years with the recorder and clarinet would prepare me or give me an edge, but they didn't. It is the same concept, you hold your fingers over holes and move them to open up the correct holes at the correct time.
I am still working on learning how to play this. I will update this post if and when I do learn so. Until then though, it is going to sit out and be a conversation starter. Everyone seems to love this, they come over and ask about it as soon as they see it!
Whether you love music, musical instruments, or Zelda, then I think you will fall in love with this product. It can be so vastly loved by so many different people.
