Stylophora Ice ball molds
Are you tired of drinking watered down drinks? Well I was too so I went out on a search to find something to keep the tiny ice cubes from melting so fast. While I was on my search I found a listing on Tomoson for ice ball molds. I was interested so I applied because this was after all what I had been searching for all along. A few days later I got my approval and ordered them from Amazon right away! Just go to here to check them out on Amazon they are on sale at the moment for a really good price!
Anyway back to my review...when the package came I was very happy with the packaging and the way it shipped. Everything was safe and sound inside my box. The product itself lacked a little in packaging but I like how they got right to the point with it and didn't need fancy stuff to sell their product. The balls and the funnel are both silicon or something very close to silicon which works out later on when you are popping the balls out.
The directions were easy to read and understand and were very straightforward. Always wash any new product before using it that is just common sense. But I know some people are lacking in that department so I as well as the directions felt the need to point that out. After washing I dried the outside of the molds and put them together. You then stick the funnel in the top of the first mold and fill it to the fill line indicated on the mold. Make sure your molds are securely together so that the water doesn't seep out. I have found that when you fill it all the way to the fill line it tends to come out of the top and sometimes down the side when frozen so I started to fill it just under the fill line and that seems to correct the issue. Repeat these steps for the other two balls and place on a flat surface in your freezer for 4 to hours. When they are all done you simply grab them from the freezer and pull the top and bottom apart. Sometimes it sticks inside the top and other times it sticks inside the bottom. Whichever side it sticks to simply turn it upside down over your cup and push downward on the mold to pop it out. Then you have ice balls for your drinks.
I noticed that with regular ice cubes on a hot day they tend to melt within 30 to 45 minutes. With the ice ball molds you can enjoy your drink without them melting for an hour or two. They will start to melt but won't completely melt for that length of time which is more then enough time to enjoy a drink or two. With the slow release of water the drinks taste better and you don't get that sudden watered down drink.
I love this product. It is easy to use, make, and enjoy. We have used this product every day since I received this and we won't go back to normal ice cubes for our drink again...unless we are waiting for more balls to freeze. My only complaint is that there are only 3 molds. I really wish it came with a fourth mold. Sometimes when my husband and I go for another drink one of us has to use ice cubes in ours simply because there isn't another ball. Other then that I have no complaints about the product. It does what it claims and it does it well! I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
