Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

When it comes to hair we all want ours to be gorgeous. We get all the latest products to take care of it and to style it, but many people have problems with their hair and are too embarrassed to get products for those things. Some of those things include dandruff and dry itchy scalp. You have seen all the products on the market, you know the ones that you pay out the butt for and then they are not what you expect. They either work but do not make your hair smell or look good, do not work but make your hair look amazing, or just plain do not work. When you have a truly itchy scalp I suppose you really shouldn't care what your hair smelled like afterwards as long as you weren't itchy, but I for one wanted something to did both. I wanted a shampoo that kept my scalp from itching and got rid of the pesky dandruff and left my hair looking, feeling and smelling good.

So when I got picked to review this for free for nothing but my honest opinion I was really excited. I have suffered for years with dry itchy scalp and we were not in the position to buy anything special to do anything about it.

First I want to start off saying that I always thought for a product to be good it had to come from a company that I had heard of and that was well respected in the health and beauty business. I never gave newbies a chance and I should have. The Adovia family of products is an amazing line of products and there is something for everyone. So far I have seen or heard about a bar soap and a serum from this company and everyone I know are giving it rave reviews. They have great customer service and ship out very quickly. Once you place an order at Amazon.com your product will from my experience get to you in just a few days. They are a great company thats going to do amazing things in my opinion and will be around for years to come.

Now on to the shampoo! First impressions are big for me so I always look the product over to see what I think of the packaging and how well it was shipped and things like that. It came in a baggie and the top was securely held on so it would not leak. It was then placed in an oversize box so it had room to move around but not enough to get knock around a whole lot. Smart packaging says a lot about a company. To me it says they stand behind and care about their product enough that they want it to get to you safely and they want you to be able to enjoy every last bit. I get samples and freebies regularly and not once have I seen a big name company take this much care in their product. Their samples will often times come spilled out all over everything and be wasted. The big name companies already have the numbers so they could care less about a few spilled bottles but Adovia really went the extra mile and I admire and respect that.

The bottle itself is a nice size at 7.4 fl. ounces and a great deal for the price considering what it does for your hair. The sticker on it has colors that draw the eye but aren't too flashy. White blue and some silver. Its a basic sticker but gives you everything you need to know. You can tell they put more time into the actual product then they did the appearance, I wish more business were this way. The bottle is clear so you can see exactly what the product is and what it looks like and the top is an easy open top, simply push towards the back and the front pops up. It was simple to use and great for my arthritis laced fingers and hands.

I bet you are wondering whats inside the bottle. Well the shampoo is my favorite color, an amazing shade of black that shines and in the right light almost looks grey. It is a very pretty color and that got me excited right away but it has to do better then just being a pretty color.  Before using it I always read whats inside the product I am about to use on myself. Some of the amazing ingredients are Dead Sea Minerals, Vitamin E and Chamomile. Thats just what I was able to read on the front sticker. The back also includes aloe vera, salt and shea butter to name a few. I was amazed that this product had so many things in it that I actually heard of before and knew what they were. I was convinced then that even if the product failed to work, I wouldn't be putting anything toxic or bad into my hair. My favorite thing I read on the whole bottle though was just a small little section that showed the picture for Not tested on animals. In this day and age so many things are and its really nice to see a company that doesn't.

So by this time I couldn't wait to actually use it and see what I thought. So I jumped in the shower and got my hair all nice and wet and pushed the top up and spread a little in my hand. The color was even prettier and it was a good texture. It wasn't too thick and it wasn't runny it was a perfect consistency. I have long hair but like you always hear as a kid you don't need much to get it to work. It lathered up very well and spread around well in my thick hair. I left it in for a few minutes and then rinsed it out. Like all shampoos it said rpeat if necessary but I never do I feel it is a waste of the product. It rinsed out all the way and I wasn't left with any leftover shampoo. I followed up with my already owned conditioner that also has shea butter in it to stick with the ingredients that I found on this products label. When I got out and combed it I found it left my hair with far less tnagles then I usually have after cleaning my hair which was nice. I waited awhile until it was dry which was hours since I do not blow dry and have thick hair. I didn't see any of the familiar flakes and was not feeling the need to scratch my head. It really worked and helped with the dandruff and dry itchy scalp problems. It also left my hair looking and feeling beautiful. When you smell it from the bottle you don't think it will make your hair smell very good but I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the smell of my hair when it was all said and done.

Bottom line is, it is a great product that really works and I will continue to use the resat of the bottle and I do reccomend it to anyone who has dandruff and dry itchy scalp. I even reccomend it to those who don't. It leaves your hair looking far better then any other product I have tried for these reasons or a normal shampoo. I really enjoyed this product. My hair and I really thank Adovia and Tomoson for this oppurtunity. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
